Hi Jonas,

You are welcome, and good questions!

  1. Most of the Self-Driving Car content will be new, but we will rely on existing content in some limited areas. For example, we have a terrific lesson on regression and classification from our Machine Learning course, so we’ll use that instead of re-recording it from scratch. If that turns out to be a problem, we’ll revisit that decision. Most of the course content will be fresh, though, for the simple reason that we don’t have existing content that covers these topics.
  2. Eventually we will release all the courses as free content, much like all the Udacity courses. So if a student only wants to take, say, the controls course and the localization course, they can skip the nanodegree and just take those two courses for free. But we’re still building out those courses, so it will be a while before we release them.
  3. For sure we are working closely with hiring partners who are excited about hiring the graduates of this program. Career support and placement is one of the big reasons to take the nanodegree, along with developing a project portfolio to show employers.

Hope that helps!

I love self-driving cars and I work on them at Voyage! https://voyage.auto
