Generally, CarND is narrowly focused on preparing students for jobs in the autonomous vehicle industry. AIND is more broadly focused on teaching skills that can be used in a wider variety of engineering problems.

I know some students are taking both programs together. That sounds like too much work to me! Especially if you also have a full-time job I wouldn’t recommend it.
